Building a Sustainable Future: Improving our Water, Wastewater and Stormwater Systems

WM Building a Sustainable Future Image

Building a sustainable future in Wilton Manors is all about continuing to improve the water, wastewater, and stormwater systems in our city over the next several months and years.

In 2020, city staff and an outside consultant, Baxter & Woodman, conducted a complete evaluation of the Island City’s water systems. The massive project included evaluating the infrastructure and maintenance operations of our drinking water, stormwater, and wastewater systems in order to develop a capital improvement plan. The plan will contain short-term goals that will be accomplished in the next six to 24 months and long-term goals that will be accomplished over the next 20 years.

As part of Wilton Manors' "Building a Sustainable Future" campaign, we will be sharing informational videos, graphics, and more to ensure you remain informed as we continue to increase the city’s sustainability and climate resiliency for today and many years to come.
You may view these resources here on our website, as well as on the city's official Facebook and Twitter pages.
