Whether you are Hawaiian or Hawaiian-at-heart, Kua'aina Pa Hula O Hawaii wants you to join them for their Hula Dance Classes on Monday nights at 7pm for beginners and Tuesday nights at 7pm for intermediate students. Their ambition is to perpetuate and preserve the Hawaiian culture through Hula - both traditional ("Kahhiko") and modern ("Auana") forms as well as through enrichment workshops and 'Olelo Hawai'l (lessons with Hawaiian language). The City of Fort Lauderdale will temporarily switch to using free chlorine in its drinking water system beginning at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, through 9 a.m. on Tuesday, October 11, 2022. Free chlorination is a common preventative maintenance procedure for water systems using chloramines for disinfection. The City expects the chlorination period to be transparent to our neighbors; however, some may notice a slight change in the taste or smell of their tap water. In addition, neighbors may see fire hydrants running in their neighborhoods, which is part of the normal maintenance process.
