Responsibilities

The Human Resources Department provides policy direction on human resource management issues and provides guidance to the  City's departments and executive management. The Department develops, implements and manages the recruitment and selection of permanent and temporary city employees, the city's job classification and compensation system, employee benefits and wellness, and promotional and entry examinations. Additionally, the Human Resources Department is responsible for citywide risk and safety management issues, including asset insurance and loss mitigation.
