Annual Comprehensive Financial Reports (ACFR)
Each year the City's financial accounts are audited by an independent Certified Public Accounting firm. The results of that audit, along with a comprehensive report on the City's financial condition, are published each year by the City's Finance Department. This report is called the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR). The ACFR is comprised of four sections: Introductory Section, Financial Section, Statistical Section, and Compliance Section.
The Financial Section includes the report of the city’s independent auditors as well as the financial statements for the city and the Wilton Manors Pension Plan as well as other important information. One part of the Financial Section of particular interest to the general public is Management’s Discussion and Analysis (MD&A). The MD&A is a good way to get a thumbnail sketch of the city’s financial condition.
The City is pleased to have received the national Governmental Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the Fiscal Year ended September 30, 2020. This is the twenty fourth consecutive years that the City has received this award, which is awarded to government units whose financial reports evidence the spirit of transparency and full disclosure and are judged to adhere to strict GFOA financial reporting standards and criteria.
