The Wilton Manors Police Department Administration and City Officials would like to remind you to be safe when making and paying for online transactions.
Chief Paul O'Connell would like you to consider the Police Department lobby as a location to carry out exchanges resulting from online transactions. Our "Online Exchange Zone" is available to the public from 7am - 10pm Monday - Friday.
Police Officers will not be involved in any transactions or oversee them since cameras and the public will be watching.
Please remember there are no weapons allowed in the City Hall facility, including the Police Department lobby.
There are a growing number of sites on the internet, including through social media, where deals can be found and purchases can be made. In an interview with

Boca Raton Police Department Chief Dan Alexander explained the rising crimes and urges safety first before any transaction. Many Police departments are offering their lobbies and parking lots as exchange zones for online transactions. We would like to invite you to use our lobby for such exchanges.
"It's always in cash, in person and in a public place. I guess those are my three rules," said Ohio college student Greg Harris during an interview.
