Community Critical Incident Support Information

You have been through a very trying and critical event. You may experience some strong emotional or physical reactions in response to this event that have the potential to interfere with your ability to function as you usually do. This is normal and very common to experience personal “aftershocks” from a traumatic event. “Aftershocks” or stress reactions may occur immediately after the incident or may be delayed until days, weeks, or months later. Sometimes a particular incident is so emotionally painful, a person cannot cope with experiences on their own. Professional assistance may be required.
