Collection Services
The City's solid waste contractor, Coastal Waste & Recycling, assumed collection services on October 1, 2023. If you have any questions or concerns regarding collection schedules please contact the City Hall Utility Billing at 954-390-2145, Mon-Thurs, 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. There is no need to contact Coastal directly as the City manages collection schedules. If you have an issue with your collection after regular business hours, please call 954-390-2190 and leave a message.
RESIDENTIAL COLLECTIONS
For collection purposes, residential properties include single-family, townhomes and properties with two to six units. The current collection schedules and zones went into effect for residential customers on January 1, 2024, with the City divided into two zones - Northwest and Southeast.
Residential collections include garbage, recycling, bulk and household hazardous waste (HHW). Garbage is collected twice each week and recycling collection is combined with your garbage collection day on Monday or Tuesday each week. Bulk and HHW are collected once each month. The 2026 Collection Schedule magnet was mailed in December 2025 to all residential service addresses. Please contact City Hall Utility Billing at 954-390-2145 if you are a new resident and would like to receive a magnet.

Residential garbage and recycling are collected year-round, with the exception of Christmas Day (with no make-up day). The City's garbage is hauled to the Waste-to-Energy plant where it is burned to generate electricity and recyclables are processed at Waste Management's Reuter recycling facility.
Each residence is supplied with one BLUE 96-gallon rolling garbage cart and one GREEN 65-gallon rolling recycling cart. Additional carts are available for an additional monthly charge. Please call City Hall Utility Billing at 954-390-2145 for current rates and to arrange for delivery of an additional cart.
Residential customers who are physically disabled or mentally challenged and are unable to place roll-out garbage carts at the curb, may request side-door service by calling 954-390-2145. Additionally, residential customers who are 65 years or older may request to use a smaller 65-gallon garbage cart. The City may require sufficient documentation to determine eligibility for side-door service and the use of smaller 65-gallon carts.
Please be aware that any garbage or recycling cart other than the roll-out container provided by the City of Wilton Manors (i.e. carts from other cities or private containers) placed at the curb on a regular collection day will not be serviced by Coastal and may be removed and disposed of along with other trash.
COMMERCIAL COLLECTIONS
Commercial customers include multi-family properties over (6) units, condominium properties and commercial businesses. Customers must contact City Hall Utility Billing at 954-390-2145 to establish, modify or cancel their garbage dumpster service. Should a commercial customer wish to participate in a recycling program, please contact Community Development Services at 954-390-2180 to obtain a current list of registered recycling contractors authorized to do business within the City.
SOLID WASTE COLLECTION ENFORCEMENT
